Annals of a Road Trip–Beantown

We’re hanging out at a friend’s house today in Boston after having come down here this morning from Portland.  We’re doing some laundrey and getting cleaned up before heading to Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard over the next few days.

We enjoyed a terrific seafood dinner in Portland last night at a restaurant on a boat called DeMillos.  I went with the smorgasboard of seafood, which was a tad disappointing though given that it was a fully fried platter.  T-Dubs lobster was amazing though and made the visit well worth the while.  We spent a little time walking around the neighborhood of “Old Port” after our meal.   Our campsite also left a little something to be desired after having loved our previous places in Bar Harbor and Burlington in particular.

Rather than endure the driving rain this morning that filled the air of Portland, we decided to come down to Boston instead.  The climate has changed here from what it was during the past week, unfortunately, as well.  It’s quite humid today for early May.

We were somewhat disappointed to be leaving Maine today as we had a great time there.  But, it will be nice to be in Boston today and then the Cape area this weekend.  Here are some of the pics from our excursions this week:
