The rumors and news logs have been reporting for the past couple weeks that Bud.TV, a website created by Anheuser-Busch Inc is likely going away by the end of this year.
As someone with a respect for and comprehension of marketing, particularly consumer focused, I can report that one of the likely reasons deals squarely with the requirements for simply getting ON TO the site. I can imagine the user base on the site has been minimized more than it could have and should have given that one must register to even experience the site.
There is little that frustrates the typical consumer more than having to register for something without even being given a taste for what the product experience is like. I would think these guys would know better than that.
That said, I saw this particular commercial today and thought it was pretty classic:
